Burnouts, Burnouts and more Burnouts! .... The 2nd annual Quit Motorplex burnout competition will be held again on Good Friday March 29, 2002.
Last years Burnout competition presented by Hankook was one of the best events conducted at the Motorplex with the 1,000s attending the event sounding more like a football crowd than a motorsporting crowd.
This years event starts at 6:00pm with the first burnout session. At 6:30pm the first of the driving events start with the slalom.
7:00pm see's the start of the second round of the Burnout competition while at 7:30pm the popular side by side Pro Go - Whoa kicks off.
At 8:00pm the inaugural 'Burnout Queen' competition kicks off followed by a demonstration by the awesome Zaps Rat. This is followed by the 'Pro Go-Whoa' which has the top 16 from the 'Go-Whoa' in an elimination style shootout where reaction times count...it will be the most consistant who will win...not the quickest. The final session of the Burnout comp starts and is scheduled to finish at around 9pm...then while the final pointscores are being tallied a final burnout demonstration by one of Australia's baddest burnout machines 'Zaps Rat' takes place.
With the winner collecting $1,500 in cash plus a $1,500 voucher from Hankook Tyres' along with heaps of cash and prizes for the other placegetters the 2002 Kwinana Burnout competition presented by Hankook looks to another barn burner.
