Hot on the heals of resetting the World's Quickest Tin Top record with a stout 6.23 in the new Top Doorslammer, John Zappia and crew will drag the old HQ Zap's Rat out of the Southside Engine Centre workshop for this years Easter Burnouts at the "Plex".
Fans from all over the world know and remember the original Zap's Rat that set all the records, and helped form the Australian Top Doorslammer class in the mid 90's. As the online movie below shows, the huge crowd at the Motorplex just love Zap's big burnouts.
Responses to the new Top Doorslammer debuted recently have been overwhelming. "Even my arch rivals come up and say the new HQ looks great" says John Zappia, "Racers from the US visit our web site regularly, and ring to compliment the crew on the design of the car. People prefer the original HQ front end too on the new car"
