Huge burnouts on both sides of the track
and I mean HUGE as Stevens takes on Robin Judd in the first
round of Eliminations … it was a thrash for Stevens to make this
round after damaging the Studebaker this morning, lots of shake
from Judds car, on it and off it but keeps into it… but Stevens
gets into it and takes the win by one thousandths of a second
after taking the wholeshot, this race was won at the start
line..

Peter Kapiris and the Batmobile meets up
with “The Kid” Benny Bray, Bray in second position…Kapiris in
seventh…somewhat of a sedate burnout by Bray…but Kapiris does a
crowd pleaser…Bray into prestage, Kapiris coming in…Kapiris
looking strong, but Bray gets him…not much in it…65 thousandths
of a second…Bray takes it in the last few feet of the racetrack.

Victor Bray up against Steve Stanic in
Lucky Belleri’s New Toy and what a beautiful looking Toy this
is…huge burnouts…both sides of the track with Stanic even
outdoing Victor, this is a new combination for Bray and they are
creeping up on the tune up…but Stanic is going to be a tough nut
to crack, clutch dust out of the back of Brays car, they are
door to door, with Victor had the holeshot just, but Stanic able
to drive back around him and takes the win on the finish line…

Now onto top qualifier Andrew Searle and
Western Australian racer Grant O’Rourke who comes in at 8th
position, Searlie has done some spending on this car in the off
season, O’Rourke has found some balance , both drivers out on a
run, O’Rourke out of shape but Searlie into the other lane and
we have lost the timing boxes, both cars in the same lane at
times, so O’Rourke will go to the final despite it being a very
untidy pass.

could be good, O’Rourke with problems off the start line, but
was not going to give that race up for nobody…Stevens on the
pace straight away and takes the win…

Will Steve Stanic cause the upset of the
meeting and put Ben Bray back in the pits, this Camaro of
Belleri’s piloted by Stanic is absolutely awesome, and Stanic
has already put Victor away in Round One and is now gunning for
the kid…Bray deep stages and red lights handing the win to
Stanic, this is the upset, both Castrol cars out of the racing.
